the evolution of virtual reality terms
As applications of Virtual Reality become reasonably priced and more common in popular culture, the terms surrounding Virtual Reality (VR) will continue to evolve. It may be that the prefix "v" may become added to different words to designate "virtual" in a way similar to use of the prefix "e" to designate "electronic" in internet-associated uses. For instance, virtual applications in the field of real estate uses might be abbreviated "vRealEstate" and virtual applications in the field of trade might be abbreviated "vTrade". Many cues for 3D sensation come from communication among things. Key attributes of these connections are overlap, scale, and parallax. Objects that overlap on top of other things are perceived as closer. Objects thought to be similar in actual size but appearing larger are seen to be nearer and objects that increase in apparent size are perceived as travelling nearer. Objects that move an extended distance in comparison with other things when the viewer's head moves are seen to be closer. See also: Virtual Tours Modesto, California for more detailed info.
