Virtual Movies
Virtual movies are the next generation of theater experience including three-dimensional imaging systems and audience interaction. Some characteristics of computer gaming and television are likely to merge into centrally programmed, multi-user, interactive, three-dimensional virtual reality television ("virtevision"). Interactive VRTVs may replace non-interactive television like color TVs have largely replaced black-and-white TVs. the evolution of virtual reality movies and terms like "virt" deals with related topics.
Pure Virtual Reality -- is an enveloping artificially constructed world composed entirely of computer-created components except for the human people participating. The apparent form of the person engaged may even be transformed in nature. In the purest type of category #1 Virtual Reality, the participating human interacts soley with the computer, not with other humans or real elements. Stereoscopic vision comes from the fact that human eyes see real world objects from two perspectives. Eye muscles and cognitive processing of one's brain function synergistically to put together these two different pictures into perception a single image with three dimensions. Muscles of each eye change the shape of each the lens to focus at the distance of the object viewed. Other muscles change the orientations of one's eyes so that lines of vision from both eyes cross at the same distance. In real world sight, these two muscle functions work in harmony. In Virtual Reality, they may not match. When images are displayed at great distances, then the size of the screen required for immersion is overly large in size and it is challenging to present different pictures to the eyes. When pictures are displayed very near to one's eyes extraordinarily high picture resolution is required and the operations of the two muscles of the eyes tend to conflict. the evolution of virtual reality terms discusses some of these issues as well.
There are many ways in which Virtual Reality (VR) can be used for entertainment purposes. Virtual reality amusement ("virtainment") spans virtual reality games, 3D movies, virtual pets ("virpets"), virtual reality television, and other amusement uses. Thus, is it not surprising that most people still consider virtual reality primarily in terms of entertainment -- even though it is increasingly used in instruction, medicine, applied science, product development, exploration, information analysis, real property, and many other applications.
